Interview W/ Colby Does Horror

Interview W/ Colby Does Horror

I recently had the pleasure of interviewing Colby of

@colby_does-horror. His reviews are honest, funny, and brilliant. I definitely suggest checking him out on Instagram.

ADRIAN: What do you love about horror?

COLBY: I love that it’s an escape from reality. Just turn my brain off and have fun. Especially after a rough day. It’s my favorite thing to decompress with.

ADRIAN: What made you decide to review films, and how long have you been doing that?

COLBY: I’ve loved horror as a child, and I’ve always enjoyed talking about horror. My mother passed away in February and I had a really tough time so in April I started doing it as an outlet and it kinda just took off!

ADRIAN: You have this amazing phrase where you say " I watch bad movies so you don't have to" ... what are some of the worst films you have seen?

COLBY: Oh man. That’s a good one. Ostermontag (I Spit on Your F-ucking Grave, B-tch!) is one of the worst. Where The Dead Go To Die was horrible. And I would have to say Visceral as the 3rd!

ADRIAN: What are some of your favorites?

COLBY: My favorites change all the time but my top 3 currently are The Shining, Evil Dead (2013), and Frontiers.

ADRIAN: Do you have a favorite sub genre?

COLBY: Found Footage or French Extremities!

ADRAN: What do you find inspires you?

COLBY: Chuck The Movie Guy on Tik tok is my biggest inspiration for sure. But also it’s other small creators I see grinding and putting out great content and when I see that I make sure I support them!

ADRIAN: What are you looking forward to that's coming out?

COLBY: My most anticipated are Terrifier 3 and Nosferatu!

ADRIAN: Are you doing anything coming up?

COLBY: I actually have a few film festivals coming up! Im attending Fantastic fest and Telluride Horror Show to do press for those! Hopefully Overlook and SXSW I can make as well!
